Before undergoing liposuction surgery you should be aware of some possible side effects.

Usually any side effects from liposuction are minor. Some of the symptoms you might experience are occasional numbness, swelling and possibly some bruising. One of the things you might see is some irregularities on the surface of your skin.

Much less common are serious side effects such as allergic reactions, blood clotting, or infections.

If you should experience side effects from your liposuction these can be treated with simple over the counter pain relievers. In rare instances you might require a prescription pain killer but this is unlikely.
