Running After Tummy Tuck

Generally speaking, there are three kinds of liposuction procedures. Knowing the difference will enable you to make a better decision if you are thinking about having liposuction.

Traditional liposuction is a surgical procedure requiring a general anesthetic. After such surgery you will require significant doses of pain killers to control discomfort.

Wet liposuction is a method in which a small amount of fluid is injected into the areas where fat is removed. The liquid contains a local anesthetic, an agent to control bleeding, and a salt solution similar to our body fluids.

Tumescent liposuction is an improved version of wet liposuction where three times as much liquid is injected compared to the amount of fat to be removed. This method does not require the administration of a general anesthetic. This is the method most commonly used today because it provides the easiest recovery periods.

Most people considering liposuction today will opt for the tumescent procedure. Not only is it less expensive but the recovery period will be shorter and less painful.
