Ask whether the physician was trained in an accredited medical school or university located in the United States. Ask the doctor where they did their residence training. Here you're looking for a doctor who did their residency in a hospital. If the doctor says that he or she performed their residency in a doctor's office and not in a hospital then you need to be careful. Physicians training in a hospital have the exposure to many different peers from whom they can learn.
